From start to finish, my experience working with Dimitri at Vermont Hardwood Frames has been excellent in every way. Dimitri is responsive, detailed, and warm in his communications. From 2,000 miles away, he was able to build me dozens of gorgeous, perfectly fitted solid maple floater frames for an unexpected exhibition that demanded a tight timeline. Furthermore, Dimitri packed the finished frames with such care that every one of them arrived in pristine condition. As a working artist, I'm thrilled to have found a custom framer whose affordability belies the top quality of his craftsmanship. I will continue to work with Dimitri, and I can't recommend Vermont Hardwood Frames too highly!
Beautiful custom maple frame! I was able to customize all the dimensions and finish. Highly recommend
Excellent experience with buying this frame from Dimitri. Look great on my painting.
This frame is so beautiful and is perfect for the art I put in it. I look at it every day and smile. Great craftsmanship and excellent communication!
This is the 5th frame I've purchased from VTHardwoodFrames... I'm hooked! I love how professional my artwork looks in it, perfectly creating the kind of presentation I'm after. The frame is gorgeous, but it allows my artwork to shine through from inside of it without either an imbalance or a competition occurring. Something about elegant simplicity and bespoke directness. Three cheers for Dimitri and VTHardwoodFrames!!
The craftsmanship is great. The frame is well built and to the exact specs requested. I went with the oil wax finish and it turned the maple very yellow. The end result left the frames looking like pine wood. I will have to sand and refinish these if I want to use them so not very happy about that as they were expensive frames.
Dimitri was a joy to work with. My little frame is super well-constructed and beautiful! Super happy! Thanks and would order again.
This is my second frame from Dimitri and I love it! The quality and customer service is always amazing and keeps me coming back.
Dimitri is a master at his craft. I appreciated the care and attention to detail in creation custom frames for me. He was wonderful to work with and the frames truly are a work of art unto themselves. Very grateful to have found Dimitri. Highly recommend him with full conviction!
My print’s dimensions were different from what he had listed but he was happy to make a custom frame that fit perfectly. Seller was very helpful and communicated promptly, totally love the result it’s exactly what I wanted.
This was my third frame from Dimitri. What can I say? I'm hooked! VTHardwoodFrames is a great resource for artists... and galleries too. Check these out, you'll be impressed.
Dimitri was wonderful and so easy to work with!! Not only did he hunt down some birdseye maple by request, he made sure to delay the ship date so the frames so they would arrive after I got back from a business trip and not before. He was very responsive to my questions, mocked up 3D cad-like drawing to help visualize things and double checked the specs with me.
He made such beautiful frames for these my two funny cat paintings, I could not be happier!! Thank you very much, Dimitri!!
The frame is beautiful! High quality wood, made custom to fit a very old painting done by my grandmother. It was also made and shipped very quickly! I love it 🤍
What solidified this purchase for me was Dimitri's responsiveness and above and beyond customer service.
I had a number of questions about the material, dimensions and artwork - he answered every single one with patience. He did two things that really solidified for me - he mistyped my name and made the effort to correct it(!!) and he mocked up my artwork in 3D to give me a sense of spacing and gaps!
The frame arrived assembled and I was worried about shipping company dinging it - but it was double secured! and the quality of the joints is stellar!
A perfectly crafted frame - just what I was looking for!
This frame was well crafted in every way!
Very well crafted, beautiful frame!
I can’t say enough good things about my experience working with Dimitri. His top notch communication and customer service made the whole process so smooth. I was unsure on which color frame would work best with my painting, and he took the time to mock up examples of what my painting would look like with the various frame colors. He also worked with me on the frame finish and provided examples to ensure I’d be happy with the end product. The frame is absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship is superb and it was carefully packaged to ensure its safe delivery. He even installed the D rings and hanging wire for me! If you need a custom floater frame made, I highly recommend that you reach out to Dimitri and support his small business. I will definitely be ordering more frames from him in the future!
Love my frame! Beautiful wood and craftsmanship.
This is my second frame from Dimitri and I look forward to other projects. Thank you!

Dimitri made this frame custom for me with a wood he doesn't normally use. It arrived quickly and looks fantastic. 100% recommend.
Top-notch craftsmanship and attention to detail describes this hardwood floating frame. Custom made and beautiful maple hardwood with a nice finish. Very happy.
Beautiful frame! It was well worth the wait. Dimitri made the experience so easy for me. He was extremely helpful in guiding me in picking the right wood to match the painting I needed to frame. I'm certain I will be coming back.
